What's been happening?

It's been a while since I have posted a ride...at least two years.  Mostly those posts were about Ride the Rockies, which I still rode in 2018 and 2019.  2019 was cool because it was a loop route...I will try to recap that ride at some point.

In January 2018, I had a little reckoning with myself and health.  I decided to get serious about fitness and began riding a lot more.  Most of my riding posted here has been very little training for RTR and then that's it until the next year.  2018 was different.  I still only trained 18 days for RTR, but it didn't stop there.

In the spring, I finally took the advice of longtime friends John and Sharon and started doing group rides with the Wish for Wheels riding club, but also began riding indoors at the Inspired Training Center.  This is a computer trainer studio, you bring your own bike and ride a workout with other cyclists.  It's not unlike Zwift, but everyone is together in the studio and they have coaches leading the workout.  It's not a spin class, but cycling training.  But the biggest change was moving away from processed food.

2018 was great ended up riding around 4000 miles and lost 50 lbs.

2019 was a bigger riding year, the pinnacle was tackling the Triple Bypass...and almost 7000 miles as the year ends, but added racing this year too.  Planning on a bit more active posting this year as I go through this journey.  I will post more on 2018 and 2019...just a short post for today.
